Jump out! Yoshifumi Hasegawa Exhibition

It makes you chuckle and cry...
The works of picture book author Yoshifumi Hasegawa are impressive for their warm and colorful use of color. In his picture books, humorous characters unfold stories that will make you laugh and cry.
Hasegawa puts his thoughts about many different people into his picture books. In his works, which are set in his hometown of Osaka and depict daily life at home and school, he conveys the feelings of cherishing family, teachers, and friends, while in his works on the themes of war and earthquakes, he conveys the hopes for peace for people around the world. Hasegawa's picture books have captured the hearts of many people.
This exhibition will display approximately 220 pieces, including illustrations and sketches, with a focus on the original picture book artwork. It will introduce all of Hasegawa's creative activities, which he continues to draw with the desire to "make everyone around the world smile and be happy."
