Insects on Earth: Photos,
Stories and Crafts by Mitsuhiko Imamori

Mitsuhiko Imamori won the 28th Domon Ken Award for his photo collection "A 400 Million Year Journey of Insects," which captures the amazing forms of insects with artistic richness. This exhibition introduces the mysterious world of insects that live on Earth through Imamori's works.
It is also a journey to encounter small creatures living in the great outdoors. This time, we will also focus on insects living in the Satoyama that are close to us and their natural environment. We will introduce Imamori's Satoyama photographs, which he takes by entering the Satoyama ecosystem, as well as his work on the SDGs and his activities to restore the Satoyama environment.
At the same time, Imamori, who is also active as a paper cutting artist, will also be exhibiting his three-dimensional insect paper cutting works, exploring the appeal of insects from various angles.
We hope that you will enjoy the insect artworks, which can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, and that they will encourage you to think about the natural environment in which insects live.
