The World of Shoko Kanazawa: Ink of Spirit

We will be holding an exhibition of works by Shoko Kanazawa, a genius calligrapher who expresses exceptionally delicate sensibility and intense passion through brush and ink.
When her mother, Yasuko, a calligrapher, found out that her long-awaited child had Down's syndrome, she began teaching Shoko calligraphy from the age of 5. Calligraphy has always been a part of Shoko's life, and she has grown up experiencing joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness through calligraphy.
This exhibition will feature around 50 pieces, from representative works to more recent works, including "Tearful Heart Sutra," which Shoko wrote with all her might when she was 10 years old at the time and was refused admission to regular classes and encouraged by her mother, who was conflicted and worried about her daughter's future.
