2025.09.27 Sat - 2025.11.03 Mon
皇居三の丸尚蔵館展

The Museum of the Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan is a facility that preserves, researches, and exhibits artworks that have been passed down through the Imperial family. This time, we will be showcasing 48 pieces, mainly works related to Shizuoka.
The museum's collection includes paintings by masters such as Takeuchi Seihō and Yokoyama Taikan, depicting seasonal scenes and auspicious themes. Also on display are famous swords, which have been highly valued since ancient times, and were presented to Emperor Meiji, who was known as a sword lover, by former feudal lords and other families.
Shizuoka Prefecture, with its views of Mount Fuji and the Pacific Ocean and its warm climate, has long been known as a place of relaxation for the Imperial family. This time, we will be exhibiting items related to Prince Chichibu Yasuhito, who enjoyed pottery at his villa in Gotemba, along with photo panels. Some of the paintings and crafts that were presented to the Imperial Family from Shizuoka will also be returning home.
This is the first exhibition to showcase the Imperial treasures in this location. Please come and see the crystallization of traditional techniques and beauty.
