ORIGAMI that Brings Life - The World of Creative Origami by Akira Yoshizawa

"It's like it's alive."
The works of creative origami artist Akira Yoshizawa are often described in this way. His lively and dynamic origami animals and insects evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia.
Yoshizawa Akira thoroughly observed and studied his subjects, and expressed the ecology and essence of living things on a single sheet of paper. His works on a wide range of themes, including plants and animals, dinosaurs, folk tales, masks, human activities and emotions, and abstract expression, were created with meticulous attention to beautiful folding lines. His works, which express the preciousness of living things and the state of the human heart, have been highly praised both in Japan and overseas, and have spread around the world as "ORIGAMI."
Akira Yoshizawa has expressed the universe through origami, connecting with all living things. This exhibition will introduce the world of creative origami that is full of life, with around 700 pieces, including newly donated works.
